Emil Walde, born 1991 in Munich, is a metal sculptor.
Since 2014 he is studying at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, currently in the class of Franka Hörnschemeyer and Gregor Schneider.
His works mostly testify to an unconventional handling of everyday materials found: from trampolines to tents or caravans. He examines the outer shape of an object trouvé and the relationship to the surrounding space. His playing field creates a new sense of space in unfamiliar scenarios.
