Julia Priss, born 1988 in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, has studied sculpture at the HBK Essen with Prof. Milo Köpp and Prof. Yevgeniya Safronova

She is interested in the moment in which processes of change take place. The transience of the moment becomes visible through dissolution and passing. In order to visualize the processes, she is working with appropriate media such as video, photography and sound. Thereby, time as well as chance become the designing elements. Casts create negative forms and traces of a presence are left behind.
